Passport to IFRS Project

With the PASSIFRS project, it is aimed to create a digital platform for the purpose of teaching the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), which is mandatory for businesses of public interest in 166 countries around the world, to the Z generation. Within the scope of the project, educational materials and training videos will be prepared in English, universities involved in the project will translate them into their own languages and present them on the prepared digital platform. It is expected that the project will make a great contribution to today's generation, who will be the independent auditors of the future.

IFRS has been published by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) since 1975 in order to eliminate the application differences between countries in the field of accounting and to ensure the comparability of financial statements. Our country's first acquaintance with these standards was again thanks to the Accounting Institute operating within the IU Faculty of Business Administration. International Accounting Standards translations, which started with the May 1977 issue of the "Journal of the Accounting Institute" published by the Accounting Institute, is a very important event in terms of accounting history in our country and in the world. Although these translations are the first in our country, it is important that the International Accounting Standards, which started to be published in 1975, is one of the first languages in the world to be translated into Turkish.
